Mourning Of The Earth

As the days and weeks have passed, I have avoided the dark sentiment; the confusion; the plagued mind - wondering what will be in store. Ten days closer to the date(s) that have tormented me, and I know not what to say or do. Are premonitions real - why do we have them. Are they just the production of an over active mind wallowing in permanent despair...or do they remain the frightening mirror to a 'foreseeable' future that many experience and are reluctant to deal with.

I don't know what the future holds - and if my fearful premonitions/dreams are about to become reality. Whatever the outcome, I hope those of a higher being show mercy on this earth - and so begins nine days of prayer.

To The Holy Ghost
Almighty and eternal God, Who hast vouchsafed to regenerate us by water and the Holy Ghost, and hast given us forgiveness of all our sins, vouchsafe to send forth from heaven upon us Thy sevenfold Spirit, the Spirit of Wisdom and Understanding, the Spirit of Counsel and Fortitude, the Spirit of Knowledge and Piety, and fill us with the Spirit of Holy Fear. Amen
