Everything will be alright tomorrow...
Aug. 5th, 2005 11:16 pmWho needs a yearly reminder that one is getting closer to the grave - I am not afraid.
There were no celebrations as children. The concept didn't exist thanks to poverty. Childhood recollections of attending the odd occasional event - those invitations were borne out of sympathy. There remains the haunting echo of 'poor this and poor that' in amongst little fat kids with more presents & toys than one could ever imagine. It was accepted life. The lovely aunties made the misery disappear.
I have my days as I ponder and wallow in such thought - each year brings a reminder.
Everything will be alright tomorrow.
